Didactica: Online Conferencing Platform

Didactics is a theory of teaching, and in a wider sense, a theory and practical application of teaching and learning. In demarcation from mathetics (the science of learning), didactics refers only to the science of teaching.

What's Didactica?

There are many online conferencing services today, such as Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, so why reinvent the wheel? You see, this is a project for Russian audience and market. As Russia is a sanctioned country, it is a problem for users to pay their subscription for complete use of such services. Didactica is an online conferencing platform created to solve a problem.

The problem

Lack of available online conferencing services in Russia

Small businesses and students were not able to access such giant enterprise solutions. Back then, Zoom, Meet and Teams weren't completely available in Russia, Telegram lacked stability in online group video calls and Discord was focused on gamers and their communities, so it was too complex for the target audience.

This niche required something lightweight, student-focused and comfy.
